1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use RotCut, we may collect information such as account details, subscription status, device and app diagnostics, usage activity, support messages, and other information you choose to provide.

2. TrueDepth Camera and Face Data

RotCut uses the TrueDepth camera (front-facing depth sensor) to count push-up repetitions in the push-up challenge feature.

What is collected: The TrueDepth camera captures real-time depth distance data from the user's face. This is used solely to measure how far the face is from the camera in order to detect the up and down movement of a push-up. No facial recognition, facial geometry, face maps, or facial identity data is collected or derived.

Purpose: The depth measurement is used exclusively to count push-up repetitions in real time. It is not used for any other purpose.

Storage and sharing: Face and depth data is processed entirely on-device in real time. It is never stored, logged, transmitted to a server, or shared with any third party. Once the push-up session ends, no face or depth data is retained.

3. Screen Time and Usage Data

RotCut uses Apple's Screen Time API to monitor and block app usage during focus sessions.

How it works: This data is processed entirely on-device. It is never transmitted to external servers or shared with any third party.

Purpose: Screen Time and usage data is used solely to enforce app blocking during active focus sessions and to display usage statistics within the app.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve RotCut.
• Process subscriptions and verify purchase entitlement.
• Respond to support requests and restore eligible purchases.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and security.
• Communicate updates, service notices, and legal information.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers, app store platforms, analytics providers, infrastructure vendors, or legal authorities when necessary to operate the service, process purchases, comply with law, or protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide RotCut, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records. Face and depth data captured by the TrueDepth camera is never retained - it is discarded immediately after each push-up session ends.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. You may also manage subscription settings through the relevant app store account. Contact us if you would like to make a privacy request.

9. Children's Privacy

RotCut is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

10. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps intended to provide appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of RotCut after the revised policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
